Every one/entrepreneur has a desire they are working towards.
Mine is to be able to create and hold a million dollar business with ease.
Yet I’m told that as you hold your desire (that is your end point), you must resist from mapping out the journey.
I like to think of this in two ways:
1. A rocket to the moon is 90 per cent of the time off course – it is constantly realigning to get back onto it’s pathway towards the destination = moon.
2. A ship that is one degree off course for the whole journey ends up in a completely different destination.
So if I need to picture the arrival – what it looks like and feels like to be a million dollar business owner, how do I stop myself trying to make the plans to get there and going off course.
It’s about inspired business action that is rooted in intuition – and not trauma. If you are constantly taking action from a trauma-based place (urgency, scarcity), your actions are always going to be more like the ship. Heading off course because your underlying motive (destination) is to get back to a safe familiar place (which is never the place you are heading if you are an entrepreneur as you are always pushing boundaries and wanting to uplevel).
You must be more like the rocket that sets off, knowing you are on your way, it’s going to be not that straight forward, you will be rerouted many times, maybe have some mechanical failures or challenges, avoid a few meteoroids that have the potential to destroy you, and eventually with full faith that still you will end up right where you were going – at the moon (your desire). Always knowing with full faith that was where you were heading despite the detours.
Disclaimer: I’m still working on having the faith to truly believe my desire is going to come true. This just takes time, practice on understanding my triggers, and seeing every challenge, ‘failure’ and disappointment as a rerouting that is getting me closer to the moon.
