What I do between 9 - 1pm everyday that helps me grow in quantum leaps

My aim this week is to spend every morning between 9 – 1pm doing ‘deep’ work. This can be a variety of things from listening to books, reading, exercise like walking, swimming, pilates, boxing, writing by blog posts, researching, working on my own business ideas, talking to people about concepts, working on my network and learning how to be a power connector.


And it’s so hard!


I have to constantly pull myself back from urgent, important and demanding jobs like  checking my phone, syncing my emails, making calls, doing admin. It’s so tempting and addictive to do those ‘things’ all day long.


But do you know what?


I've noticed I'm achieving FAR more. In both my own personal growth and my admin.

It’s definitely a work in progress but I’ve already noticed a huge improvement in my efficiency and effectiveness.


The you2 formula by Price Pritchett says that quantum leaps in achievements require changing your habits. Which is often the first stumbling block after you’ve made the decision to success, your automatic system kicks in and resists.


I’m working on changing those moment by moment actions, every day with a 9 – 1PM non-negotiable deep work morning. If anything, I say to myself, just create some white space first.


Disclaimer: It feels so uncomfortable to start with – you feel like you’re not ‘doing’ anything. And even if I can’t do the 9 – 1pm, I still try to have a calming, positive mindset during those hours.
