The Manifestation Retreat by Christina & Nicole: 31st July - 6th August 2022

Hosted at the luxury El Karama lodge in Kenya, you will experience a world class safari experience, along with daily immersions and wellbeing into yoga by Christina Caldwell and Nicole Valente.

  • Christina Caldwell

Christina Caldwell, the founder of CCYoga, is a spirited workout enthusiast and yogi. A former dancer and current theatre director, Christina received her 200 hour certification in vinyasa flow in 2018 while she lived in Hawaii.

Whether she’s dangling in downward dog or configuring unexpected core sequences, Christina always encourages her students to explore outside of their comfort zones. She is a coach for yoga teacher training, leads yoga retreats and currently teaches private and group classes specializing in power yoga, yoga sculpt and restorative and meditation at her virtual yoga studio, CCYoga. When Christina is not practicing yoga or teaching, you can find her spreading positive vibes, connecting with humans, journaling, surfing, and traveling.

  • Nicole Valente

Nicole Valente has been a yoga practitioner, comprehensive Pilates instructor and personal trainer for over 10 years. She completed her 200 hour vinyasa yoga certification with Sattva Yoga Bali in a life changing course just before the pandemic. Her teacher training had primary focuses on the technique and alignment principles of Iyengar Yoga and Yogic Philosophy. Through her virtual training platform, she leads private clients, small groups and community classes in personalized guided meditations, pranayama, yoga asana practice, strength training and conditioning, and Pilates mat, reformer and apparatus. In the past few years Nicole found true love, soul elevation, and deeper life purpose and contentment through traveling to explore various areas of the world, eating every type of amazing cuisine possible, meeting new people, surfing all over the world, hanging out with all of the animal friends, and experiencing different cultures. Practicing in a yoga retreat abroad with Christina is what spurred this magical life shift.

Practicing and retreating with Nicole is about meeting your mind and your body where they are at the moment and beginning to take them on the journey to where they would like to be. With a large focus around education, Nicole wants you to come out of your retreat with new knowledge of how to communicate with your mind and body that you can apply in your life going forward, and maybe just ignite, or reignite, any dormant sense of adventure lying within the Self.

A Safari To Connect, Uplevel, Elevate and Experience.

THE VENUE

El Karama is an intimate lodge found inside a 14,000-acre private conservancy, with a hands-on, down to earth safari.

As in all Laikipia camps, freedom and privacy are guaranteed; whether to walk, fly camp under the stars, game drive, track on foot with guides, fish, visit the working farm, pick your vegetables in the organic garden or engage with wildlife conservation activities on the ground and education in action with the rangers.

Eight airy cottages are dotted around the main mess pool area, made of stone, wood, thatch and canvas, all with en-suite bathrooms. The lodge creates a peaceful environment that connects you to the bush, combining all the important home comforts without losing the magic of this wild space.

Dining offers home-grown food, with fresh, hearty and creative meals and guests are welcome to visit the Bush Kitchen – an interactive barn style kitchen - where they can get involved in everything from harvesting fresh veggies from the ‘shamba’, collecting the eggs from the chickens, sharing recipes and kneading dough for the daily loaves!
Guests can wake up to the peaks of Mount Kenya and fall asleep to the sounds of the mighty Ewaso Nyiro river. The lodge offers sightings of several endemic and endangered species including the Grevy Zebra, Elephant, Buffalo, Lion, Leopard, Cheetah, Hippo and Aardwolf.
Sustainability is the passion at El Karama and a wildlife safari here is so much more than a holiday. This includes renewable green technologies and water harvesting.

Wonder at the tiny tracks of dik diks on a sandy path, marvel at the light across the plains after a rainstorm, delight in harvesting avocados for lunch directly from the tree and most important of all, to take a step back from the pace of modern life and breathe.
